Hi Parents and Carers,
Welcome to a brand new decade! This is the page where we talk about the grown up stuff and we've included information about each character's role and how they relate to your child's learning development.
The SUPER GEEK HEROES are a unique group of super-kids... having fun in turn with a mission to learn! Their seven friendly ‘super-powers’ are derived from the three prime and four specific development areas of the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’.
These are... Personal, Social & Emotional Development, Understanding the World, Communication & Language, Literacy, Numeracy, Physical Development, and Creative Arts & Design.
By introducing "superhero characters" to represent learning and development areas within EYFS, children (and adults) interact more effectively when they understand and relate to their meaning. The use of fun animated 3D characters in this way make children’s learning and development cool, exciting and interesting right through their early years and beyond.
Meet the characters and their representative learning and development areas within the early years foundation stage; Jake Jotter (Literacy), Mille Maths (Mathematics), Peter Planet (Understanding the World), Ant Active (Physical Development), Vicky Voice (Communication & Language), Ronnie Rock (Expressive Arts & Design) and Suzi Smiles (Personal, Social & Emotional Development)...
We hope you and your children have lots of fun sharing the learning missions the Super Geek Heroes embark upon. Please enjoy the content and resources available on Super Geek Island.
Huge thanks from the team at SUPER GEEK HEROES HQ!
